He is a B.Com Graduate from Mumbai University and has cleared his CA in the year 1971. He did his articleship in A. J. Shah & Company in the areas of Audit of  companies, firm, trust, etc after which, he started his career as a senior tax assistant to N. H. Khokhani in the year 1972 and started his firm in the same year.
